I have always wanted to shoot an English wedding. The thing I love about my job is that I can do it anywhere, which means I get to travel to some amazing places. I flew to London to shoot Mike and Zoe’s wedding, which was in Maidstone, South of London.
Now I know it sounds crazy to fly a South African photographer to England to shoot a wedding but the good thing about the South African Rand being weak against the Pound is that you can be quite competitive in the English market.
I met these two love birds in South Africa while I was shooting their (and now my) good friends wedding, Jason and Rachel.
When I arrived the weather was… well, what you would expect… but the day of the wedding was a stunner, a perfect English summers day. I fell in love with the English countryside…I could move there tomorrow.
The couple got ready in a beautiful B&B not far from the venue. It was the perfect spot to get some amazing shots while they got ready. Mike and Zoe are a little quirky and wanted something different so had arranged a mini fair as entertainment for their guests. It was such a hit and the merry-go-round made for the incredible shots.
Have a look at their magical day. I can’t wait to head to the UK again! So if you know of anyone just send them my way. (Wink wink)
