Gina and Tom got married at the lovely Maroupi venue in the sugar cane lands north of Durban.
These two love birds met while travelling and adventuring the world, eventually finding each other and falling in love.
When Gina first made contact with me I could tell she had done her homework, she fired 1000 questions at me! Like: how long have you been doing weddings? Do you have an assistant and do they also take pics or just help with lighting etc? What cameras / editing programs do you use?
Do you provide us with all the high res photos? If not how many? Are you opposed to our suggestions or if we have ideas of some photos we may like to have done? Do you do flash photography?
Although I normally answer with something silly like when she asked me :
What do you do if the weather is bad? (overcast or raining?)
I replied :
Kidding…overcast weather is actully amazing to shoot in and rain can be epic too…so if my couple is adventurous we would put on some gum boots and head out into the rain and capture some dramatic and amazing pictures.”
I think it’s very important for brides to ask these questions. We hit it off and met over a beer to discuss their big day! I’m glad they chose me because I had so much fun at their wedding. Have a look at their big day below!
